Yay, it's Friday!

I thought 5 p.m. would never come round today, it has been non-stop and my poor brain is on its last legs. Phew.

But some exciting news to share today is that I was invited back to be a guest designer with the Daring Cardmakers for February and March. My first project went up with today's dare.

An unlikely partnership

Hah, you may have had to do a double take - what have Papercrafts' Card a Day book and Madonna got in common?

Me!

My recent little amazon order arrived today, the Card a Day book (which by the way is really good - any cardmakers out there I would really recommend it for the eye candy and ideas - the layout is really good too) and the double CD/DVD compilation of Confessions Live - I needed it just for the exclusive Paradise (Not for Me) clip, love that version, and really I don't think I will ever tire of the original album. 

Anyway, these two items will join forces tonight as I am going to get down to some creative time once I've had my shower. :o)

One before bed

Before I log off for the night, here's a card. :o) Technically I am still ahead of CaD posting, since I have a couple of cards made I can't share yet! {super secret squirrel activity}

But, since the 2Peas prompts are up for this week, I decided to make something using left-overs from my scraps bowl and some ancient MM ribbon - so ancient I struggled to tie it.

I rediscovered these lovely labels from the friendly forest range by Colorbok - I know I had them, but hadn't realised there were so many nice ones in the pack!

House of Fraser has a clearance section

It's just not very big and it has a lot of random stuff in there...

But when I nipped in today to check how their new Yankee Candle dept. was coming along (in search of reed diffusers for the office) I came across the "bargain" bin.

And could not resist these Typhoon Pantone pot holder mitts:

They are sold separately but there were two left. Fingers crossed they were not a white elephant purchase, but I must say they are most pretty.

It's been a while since I updated my style file, mainly because I've not really bought any scrapping mags in the past year that I am happy to cut up. I still have my sub to Scrapbook Trends in the US so those are stacking up nicely on my shelves - those definitely won't be undergoing to style file treatment!

So when I went in search of what I could add to my file, this was the only mag I found! Shocking really, it's the last copy of CK I bought (and mainly for the coupons) back in April last year...

At least it shouldn't take me long to cut out what I want to keep! LOL

Aside from those organising endeavours I managed to catch up with last night's Big Bang Theory episode - OMG Sheldon in the ball pool was so hilarious:

Just a quick post to share today's card. It's for the current card challenge I posted over on UKS.

I'm going to have to somehow get back on track with the 2Peas prompts now that they've been updated, but I am about 5 days ahead of those prompts. LOL This must be a first. Although I might just leave it be and start up again later this week. Will see how the week goes, but I caved and bought the book after seeing some of the inside... hope it arrives from amazon soon. :o)
