They're so yummy! I almost forgot I had these and they were perfect for a card for a certain little birthday girl!

The newlyweds should be safely off on their honeymoon now so I can finally post the card I made for Sarah and Martin:

The wedding was just perfect - I loved everything about it and the bride was just stunning! I will at some point find the time to see what on earth I managed to capture on my camera, but was having some issues in the evening with shots not coming out - boohoo....

But lovely to catch up with everyone and see Sarah and Martin celebrate their big day, I am just craving more of Jackie's sublime wedding cake that's all... mmmmm.

OMG, if it's not one thing it's another

So I've not been off to the best start this week, bad things keep cropping up!

Now this evening I have managed to trap my finger in a plug adaptor for my electric toothbrush (yes I know how does anyone manage that?) and my knuckle is twice the size of the one next to it and an amazing shade of purple. It totally knacks!

Oh great.

Not only that, but I landed funny on my foot the other day and walking in heals is a little problematic - and yes my shoes for Sarah's wedding are a lovely set of heals.

Surely my luck should change soon right?

I need to add a little sunny glow to the pallid winter look my skin has at the moment, am slightly nervous about that considering this week's track record. I may end up in the shower tomorrow night scrubbing off 3 layers of skin to remedy any fake tanning accidents!

In happier news I finished the book I started at the garage yesterday, a nice diversionary read and it's Medium tonight - just need to NOT fall asleep this time! Oh and I finally had a go with my Bare Minerals kit. Not bad... just have to try and not over do it!

Sneaky sneaky

Not had much to report of late, and tonight will be the same as the one card I did make over the weekend was for a certain cat-sticker-loving someone who's getting married this weekend - I hope she likes the results, but for now this is all I dare to post until after the big day!

Dum-di-dum-di-dum....

So bit of a boring blog post too eh? And even today's last ditch efforts at accessorising my frock for the wedding didn't go so well, I tell you this time next week the shops will be full of plum boleros, shrugs, shawls, and lovely tasteful gold and plum brooches, necklaces yadda yadda...

I managed to get some really nice jewellery but it's on a silver chain/earring posts - so is that a fashion faux pas if I have a light gold bag?? Oh dear... but c'est la vie. Oh and some lovely MAC glittery green/aqua eyeliner (not for the wedding) but I so wish I'd bought more Sephora eyeliners (I loved the ones I got in Chicago and need another Sephora spree - why no Sephoras in the UK??)

Also M&S have ticked me off, appears that their range of larger cup bras in my local store was a trial, and having searched fruitlessly online for my size in the new bras for the lovely Ceriso range it looks like either they can't label them right online or they have just 1 bra in the Ceriso range in my size. Nice.

Gaaaaaaaaaaah!

Anyway, I am off to take some Advil as I have a raging headache, fingers crossed tomorrow is a better day despite the fact I have to take my car in for a health check and safety recall doo-dah. Need to get some work done too!

Just a teeny update

I tried to be good and make a card for the October card sketch challenge on UKS the other night, and here it is - not strictly according to the sketch but it meant I managed to play with my new Romance papers from American Crafts. ;o)

And some doodlebug frills for good measure, not forgetting the glossy accents!

Lost to reality tv

Currently spending far too much time watching Project Runway! It is sooo addictive. I really missed Project Catwalk when Virgin lost sky one, so the next best thing is Project Runway. ;o)

One day I am sure I will come back to making some cards, but I am just too tired to create right now. My back is doing much better after a couple of trips to the gym power plate and lots of walking around as sitting is the worst thing for it. Thank heavens for my special New Balance trainers as they were the only shoes I could wear to walk around not just the Metro Centre, Sunderland city centre to try and pick up THE dress, but all day yesterday in Middlesbrough on an elusive search for the accessories to go with THE dress. Extremely limited success... :oS

Oh and last night's telly, the Peter Kay spoof of X-Factor meets every other public voted reality tv show "on ice" - hilarious. I loved R Wayne and Rick Astley's cameo - snort!

As for creativity, I recently found this blog and have been following the videos and challenges with interest - they looks so fun to try.

But I suppose I can post the cards I made for It's a Creative world right?

With the back issues I got a bit side-tracked and didn't manage to post about this the other day. :o)

I was very kindly invited to create a few cards for It's a creative world this week, and I kind of went to town on the lace cardstock!

Thanks again girls for the invite, it was fun!

In other news, phase two of dress shopping will continue tomorrow.

Yowzers

Talk about timing.

This morning I managed to pull a muscle in my back again (it's been niggling since last week and I just feared that something like this would happen!). I've had red tiger balm on it and downed the liquid Advil!

I was that desperate that it not get worse that I went to the gym straight after work to get some good stretches in on the power plate and generally give it a good massage. That power plate is a wonder as the lower back relaxation thing was such a relief - makes you totally forget the pain and just creates lovely heat on the achy bit, definitely did some good as I managed to do half an hour of gentle cardio between power plate sessions! LOL

It's back to aching and twinging again now, but here's hoping the hot bath I have planned before tonight's Ace of Cakes also manages to get rid of the muscle ache completely. I have dresses to try on tomorrow at the Metro Centre with Zoe and it's bad enough trying to squeeze and wiggle into the damn things when you are in tip top shape! Some of them I am sure you need to be a contortionist to get into.

Wintry weather...

Sometimes I like it... not when I'm out in it freezing cold, but cosy evenings in... they can be nice. Especially when you have a whole plethora of Yankee Candle votives to choose from (I forgot just what I'd stocked up on in Florida last year!)...

I finally came to the end of a few the other day and next in line for burning are vanilla lime (oh so lovely!) and coconut cookie bar - soon the wintry candles will be coming out: Jack Frost, Sparkling Vanilla (my fave but alas discontinued!) and Siberian Silver Fir.

But, in the creative dept. I have managed to at least make a card:

Shoe therapy...

Haven't had the most wonderful of weekends as I've been a bit under the weather, but the perfect antidote is usually some shopping... and well... I managed to snag a pair of lovely but practical Hush Puppy shoes Friday with my Brantano 25% off voucher...

but it wasn't enough... size 6 shoes always sell out at Brantano especially the really nice Hush puppy styles.

And well... I searched on amazon for some non-black new shoes that'd go with my green winter coat... I found some - via Schuh no less, so I managed to order in-store pick-up.

Alas I think they are a bit too turquoise for my Kelly Green Next coat...

I still have my eye on these as they are on sale right now, but do I go for blue:

In reality don't need to contemplate them too much as it'll be boots only weather very soon...

I did at least manage to finish my current read - Katie Fforde's Wedding Season and now have Rachel Gibson's latest one to start, so I am off to do just that!

Last of the American Crafts purchases and scrapping spending until I sell more stuff!

So I have my Winter and Christmas cardstock packs ready to make card blanks - I suppose this means I should really get on and start making those cards eh?

I love those little Adorn it stickers too - the red and teal ones are in my stash and much used! And of course, I had to top up with some more AC papers.... they are just so nice!

Right well, not long to go now until Grey's Anatomy and Brenda is back in The Closer tonight at 11 p.m. on More4! Can't wait - even though I've seen both the Grey's and Closer episodes already. LOL They are that good!

Is going to have to start on her Christmas cards!

There's not much room in the Christmas stash storage area for all this lovely new KI Festive...

ZOMG it is so nice!

And the only solution seems to be {gasp} to actually use it! :oO

Oh and for those interested, my KI Festive creative kit came with 2 sheets of each normal paper in the line - and one of each frosty paper. So you will get the whole lot of papers if you go for the kit. I know previous creative kits usually didn't do a whole line.

And the accents in this line are just gorgeous! The chipboard and the dimensional stickers. Wow. I will have such fun playing! Oh and let us not forget the frosty lace snowflake cardstock.

The Sassafras chipboard stickers are seriously cute, and great for a card for this month's UKS card challenge! Oh so autumnal.

And in other news, I am totally loving the new single from Sia, Soon We'll be Found. I love it, and she also sounds a bit like Camille who sang the Festin song in Ratatouille! But yep, it's a lovely song for the playlist.

Right, off to watch new Heroes since I have to play taxi service between that and the new Medium episode!
