I know totally rubbish blogger and scrapper and card maker... but as of late it hasn't been the best time for creativity!
However following on from my one recent layout at the crop, I managed to resort to that age-old emergency solution to a scrapping drought - The Scraplift.
Last night for Scrapping Chez Zoe's (the first such evening intended for us to actually sit and scrap!) I dragged along the same old photos and the same old stash, and decided to finally use something from a Poppy Ink kit that I was putting off in order to scrap other photos. Well there was no time like the present to get this rather embarrassing photo of me and my brother from the 80s into the album - why I am wearing my riding gear to decorate a Christmas tree, I have no idea, but I am just glad to see that my brother is wearing his favourite seal romper that features in practically every photo taken of him that year!
The original page was a gorgeous layout by Celeste Smith with loads of machine stitching - mine contains an annoying typo (don't you just love those on precious handwritten journaling cards!) and wonky cut squares of paper...
- American Crafts, Hambly, and Autumn Leaves patterned paper
- Scenic Route die-cut accents
- Making Memories giant glitter brad
- Carolee's Creations stamp
- Silver frame charm
However, having spent the best part of the day preparing photos for next weekend away at Gibside plus making a start on the stash packing, I am (at present) somewhat optimistic that I'll manage to scrap something! :oD
