It's happy dance time!
I went into Principles. I did it, I entered with purpose and picked up 2 tops to try on including, the top in the window - you know the one I was drooling about. In a size 18 no less...
And it fit! Granted I am currently sporting a rather "mummy to be"-esque paunch, and before anyone asks, no I am not a mummy to be, just retaining water. Mmmhm...
But it is just my colour scheme, will need to get a safety pin to hold the criss-cross bit in place better, don't want anything spilling out, but yep. I have shopped in Principles!
Oh and I bought some wooden knitting needles, size 5.00 mm, just cos, I'm sure I'll need them and it's wrong to leave a wool shop completely empty-handed, but there really wasn't anything else I wanted to buy... which is either very sad, or extremely fortunate. So I will have to badger Judi into telling me where she did her online shopping as she has really nice knitting needles and I am sure I will need some for the Noni bag project... whenever that may happen!
Ooooh, very nice. I haven't been in to Principles (not by principle, lol but just because I can't be bothered to drive in to town) but that top looks gorgeous. May now have to drag myself in and have a look. I'm loving all the longer length tops there are at the moment. They not only cover up a multitude of sins but they are sooooo much more flattering.

You go girl!!! I am so impressed - you are really doing well on your SW.
I am also loving the longer tops, Kirsty had a fab one on this weekend, I forget where she got it from but I was thinking, Yup, need one of those longer tops..

Oh Bev, have you not got one yet? I have 3 plus this new one. Really like them as it's like wearing a dress, but with trousers! hehe
I have one a bit like Kirsty's and another that is all B/W. Then there is the Tesco dress that both Zoe and I bought independently of one another, really must get myself a slip to go under it tho...

Congrats to you... sounds like quite a milestone! Being from the States (I'm in Florida) I have no idea what Principles is, but I do know what it's like to be able to shop where you once could not. What a great feeling!

It was very bizarre and totally strange... but it's a store I'd never have considered entering, even now that I am within their size range, as they are a "normal to small" sized person shop... Even if I hadn't had that experience 10 years ago, I'd still not have automatically ventured in as it just wasn't on my shopping radar.
