  • About my project supply lists:
I only use and share products that I genuinely love. The product supply lists that accompany my projects are simply intended to provide a visual overview of what I've used in case you have the same items at home or would like to add them to your own shopping list. I link to several stores in the UK and US and as of July 1, 2017 I am an affiliate member of, Amazon UK, Ellen Hutson, and (as of April 2022) The Greetery - this means that when you click on an affiliate link and go on to make a purchase I will receive a small percentage at no cost to you. Money raised through affiliate links will go straight towards my crafting fund. Finally, please note that any products marked "(r)" are retired and may no longer be available for sale online.

mini album...for the christening present, with spaces to put photos of the chicky into - Matthew's teacher was really chuffed with hers.

orrrrrrrrrrr, you can get some very nice china sets...with Winnie the Pooh on or Peter Rabbit, plate bowl cup, that sort of thing. orrrrrrrrrrrrr if it's a little girlie - a silver hairbrush set (H Samuels)

I usually go for a picture frame or mini book for christenings. Last one I got was a Peter Rabbit frame from Collectables. I always think the traditional presents get stuck in a cupboard & never used?

I can't go the personal route with an album - no time. :o(

They will get a hand-crafted card mind! Just have to think up a christening card, never done one, and the only nice one I saw was the one from M&S they used for invitations!

I think we've decided that Collectibles is the place to go on this occasion...

Katie got a nice knife, fork & spoon sets with the year embossed on them, we are still using them for Molly so they have been in near constant use for 6 years. I like to think of a thing that can be used, but will then be saved.

Hmmmm, what about a silver birth certificate holder? Or a family bible? Or a nice silver locket, if it's a girl, or a Saint Christopher, if it's a boy? As you can see I'm naff at thinking up great gifts but the ones I immediately thought of had already been mentioned!

I just had to purchase a christening gift yesterday. Not sure if you have Hallmark where you live, but I got the most adorable angel doll and matching book. I am probably going to include a little something else. My DD (who is now 13) received things like a bible, cross necklace, statue, crucifix, even a christening ornament for the tree.

I got some lovely jewellery for my Christening which I still wear, and the girls were each given some beautiful earrings which though they won't wear now, will be something that they can go on enjoying when they are older. We have napkin rings/ornaments/prayer books and bibles etc. coming out of our ears! On the other hand we all have quaichs (a sort of little two handled scottish drinking cup) a rather nice variation on the English Christing mug.
