Brighter Days with Concord & 9th

Morning all!

I'm back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with a bright and cheerful card featuring a recent addition to the bargain basement that has proved very popular.

The Brighter Days stamps and dies are currently available as a bundle at a very reduced price.

So, the perfect excuse to play with this fun set again!

Stamps: Concord & 9th - Brighter Days

I started out by die-cutting a square of pale pink cardstock ready for stamping.

Full disclosure - without a little assistance, I'm a very wonky stamper!

So to help me centre things in my stamp positioner, I created myself some handy little grids from plastic quilting template sheets to use as alignment guides.

The 4" square one is super handy, as many US nested square die sets (like the one I've used here) feature this size, and the template makes it really easy to line everything up before stamping.

To balance things out, I stamped the sentiment first, then selected some bright colours for the rainbow stripes.

Next, I used the coordinating dies for the glittery clouds and little heart accents.

Finally, I mounted the pink panel on the Zig Zag square and stuck it down on a kraft card blank from Papermania.

The finished result looks a bit like a giant postage stamp, which I love!

Festive Fridays: Sending Good Cheer

Morning all!

Once again this year I'm hoping to keep on top of my Christmas card makes ready for a more relaxed December.

So I'm tentatively planning to share a festive make every Friday, but we'll see how that goes - especially in the warmer months.

But since it's full on winter outside right now, I was definitely in the mood to make something frosty.

Digital paper and stickers: Pebbles - Winter Wonderland
Stamp: Waffle Flower - Elegant Christmas 2

Stencil: The Stamp Market - Postage Stamps Shadow

I started out by blending various shades of blue onto the Postage Marks Cover die from The Stamp Market using the coordinating Postage Stamp Shadow stencil.

Once the panel was dry, I have it a good splattering of white ink for that snowy look.

Then I took some of the accent stickers from the Pebbles Winter Wonderland collection and filled in the postage stamps.

I luckily had a ready-cut sentiment from Waffle Flower's Elegant Christmas 2 set that fit perfectly in the middle of the card.

I covered a card base in one of the digital papers from the Pebbles Winter Wonderland collection and mounted the postage panel on top.

And there we have it, the first festive card of the year!

Print Shop Garden Goddness with The Greetery

Happy 2025 all!

I'm back on the Seven Hills Crafts blog today with my first make of the year.

I'm not going to lie, crafting in January always feels like a struggle for me, as if I've forgotten how to make a card that isn't for Christmas!

So to ease myself back into it, I have reached for a faithful old friend.

And to chase the January blues away, I brought out some blue tones to use for the foliage.

I used the Garden Goodness Layers dies to add a little dimension to some of the elements in the background to make them pop more.

The sentiment is from the Tagged Elegance stamp set, cut out with the coordinating die set.

As a finishing touch, I added sparkly gems to the flower centres and Glossy Accents to the buds.

And there we go, the first card of 2025 made!
