I have just lost my entire post for the evening!
Anyway, what was it I'd so carefully typed up for the past 20 minutes!
It's a collection of her favourite Christmas melodies and includes a couple of original songs, and wonderful interpretations of old classics too. I just love What Child is This and River, absolutely sublime. I can tell this is going to be on loop right through winter! I've already listened to it 3 times tonight, and it's still October. Holly Cole's CD and this one are sure to keep my spirits up as I slave away over the Christmas cards. LOL
Also while there I downloaded a copy of the newest release of Mirrorball: The Complete Concert. So my collection is well and truly complete. And I just love the live versions of Elsewhere, Ice and Witness on there. Shame Elsewhere wasn't included on the Afterglow live CD...
And to add to that, I had to get a copy of Gnarls Barkley's Smiley Faces - been in my head ever since Strictly Come Dancing used it on a jive, so now I can jive to it myself... in my own unique way of course!
But back to more seasonal fayre. It is after all, still autumn, and that meant that I had a rather light moment in Sainsbury's after getting my 1 1/2 stone badge this morning at long last!
Not to reward myself as that would be totally illogical.
No I purchased a toffee apple as it is autumn, Halloween, and the season of real toffee apples with sweet apples and proper toffee crisp shells.
And it was worth every single one.
Actually back to Christmas I had a little spree after making a few cards yesterday, in the Stickles and liquid pearl aisle. I just loved the effect of Versamarked retro snowflakes with crystal stickles glitter, so much so I needed even more wintry colours, since they go year round. And who am I to resist my inner stickles daemon?
Anyway, with any luck this post will not disappear like the last and I can go and update my food diary for the day. Been too busy playing with playlists and finding pics of toffee apples! hehe
