Well I'm up to bat again on the Daring Cardmakers blog this week as today marks the first Friday of a new month. Gulp! Time is flying in 2015!
This is the inspiration photo I picked for March:
You need to include 3 elements from the photo that inspired you in the making of your card.
Now... can you work out what my three elements were?
Paper: MME, Simple Stories
Dies: MFT, PTI
Other: 3D foam, gold Stickles
So my elements:
- I really loved the look of the sprinkled confetti and the pink and gold accents in the photo - enter the perfect combination of the two - this lovely pink paper by MME with the scattered confetti-like gold dots.
- The next idea that popped into my head was to see if I could incorporate a grassy border, or something with a hand-snipped fringe and I thought hm... what about for the centre of a rolled flower. And yep... that led me to idea three.
- A handmade flower, complete with felt leaves.
- I also rather liked the contrasting black and white colour notes in the photo on the ribbon so without the dotty equivalent I used a strip of paper from the new I Am 6x6 pad by Simple Stories.
And there you have it, a very simple card, but all the elements are there. ;)
The design team has come up with some fab looks, so do pop on over to the blog to see them!
